Major features
SINO-FLEX Settlement joints are designed to cater for settlement at reclaimed land and the major features includes
- Ductile iron casings comply with BS EN 1563 : 1997
- The joint is capable of withstanding an angular deflection of 15 degrees from the centre-line of the joint;
- The joint is capable of free rotation about the centre axis without affecting the integrity and water tightness of the joint;
- The joint is capable of achieving subsidence movement of different range as per requirement;
- All nuts, bolts and other fittings for the joint are stainless steel grade SS316
- Gaskets and sealing rings are fully capable of transmitting the angular deflection and axial movement to the joint;
- Rubber gaskets comply with BS6920;
- The joint are protected internally with a 0.6 mm (minimum) factory coating with epoxy powder and externally with a 0.3 mm (minimum) factory coating with synthetic resin; and
- The tensile strength of joints are capable of withstanding traffic / EVA load.
- The joints are suitable for the pressurized hydraulic services networks including seawater supply, sewerage, potable water and fire hydrants, and grey water collection and irrigation system. The pressure rating of settlement joint is minimum 1.6Mpa.
